Wrath of God

This morning, I read the part where God destroys Sodom and Gomorrah. Their sin was obvious and many people prayed against the horrible things that were going on in those cities. God's wrath came quickly and was very specific. Lot had to leave and follow God's instructions. They couldn't even look back when God destroyed the cities. Looking back to me means that you have "tolerance" for sin and are leaving a crack in the door. We cannot compromise with sin. We must take a stand in our own lives and run away from it as soon as we detect it. We also must go to God on behalf of others (like Abraham did) and pray for their redemption and salvation from God's wrath.

Lord have mercy upon us and show us the way out of Sodom and Gomorrah. Give us courage and power not to look back. Lord have mercy.
