Taking care of the poor

I read through Job 22-26 this morning. Along with the frustration I have with Job's friends something else kind of jumped off the page. Chapter 24 talks alot about orphans, widows and the poor. The way the writer of Job describes these people is heart-wrenching. James talks about true religion as helping these people. Am I doing that? I am so comfortable in my Christian bubble and even there I associate with people I am comfortable with. What a miserable person I am!

Lord, change my heart. Give me a heart of compassion for the less fortunate and lonely. Give me opportunities today to serve these people. Open my eyes.
