Job 8-10
You have to dig for truth. Its not always right there in front of you - well it is - but we are blind to it sometimes. Bildad assumes that Job's children sinned. He says, "When your children sinned against him, he gave them over to the penalty of their sin." He did not judge correctly. Satan was given permission to destroy Job's family. Perhaps they did sin but its not really clear. Job mentions "Rahab." Who/what was this? If Job was written around the time of Abraham then Rahab was not around. I had to look this one up. There are more references to Rahab (Job 26:12, and then in Psalms and Isaiah). A foot note in Psalms suggests that the word Rahab is a poet term for Egypt. That would make more sense to me, but this may also suggest that Job was written AFTER or DURING the exodus. I guess its ok not to know. Is Job 9:32-35 a picture of Christ? Job is longing for an arbitrate, someone to remove the rod of God.

The Bear
Orion

The Pleiades
In Job 9:9 I find it fascinating that the Bear, Orion and Pleiades are mentioned. Its crazy to think that God created the stars. Its also interesting to me that for centuries we still have the same names for constellations.
