March 8th

This morning I consumed Numbers 25 and 26. God is a jealous God and He will not let us get away with sin. When we also become jealous of God's honor and do not compromise with sin, God looks favorably upon us and makes a "covenant of peace" with us. The people were bowing down before Baal and were eating pagan festivals and sleeping with the pagan people. How can they be called God's pe9ople when they unite themselves with Baal?

Lord, I want to run towards you and allow Your Spirit to reign in me - your temple. Fill me with a jealous passion for your honor and for your holiness. Do not let me put you to shame. I choose to worship you and you alone.
