This morning's reading was Numbers 22-24. Balaam, Barak and Balaam's donkey. Its such a strange story. Who is Balaam? How does he know God and how is he a prophet? He kinda comes out of no where but he is faithful to God and only speaks what God wants him to speak. He blesses Israel when Barak wanted him to curse them. He mentions something about a star and a scepter coming from Isreal. Is that Jesus? God's Spirit fills him. Oh, and his donkey sees the angel before he does and eventually the donkey speaks to him. Maybe Balaam and his donkey are from Narnia. :)
