This morning's reading had the theme of water. First there was the water of cleansing that they were to make (with special ingredients) and for special uses. They there was the grumbling of the Israelites because they lacked water. God instructed Moses and Aaron to strike the rock but they struck the rock twice...because they didn't trust God. However, water flowed from the rock. Then there was the chorus that the Israelites sang when they got water from the well at Beer. "Spring up! O Well!" I sang the chorus today as I drove toward's Colorado. Good lyrics. "I've got a river of life flowin' out of me. Makes the lame to walk and the blind to see. Opens prisons doors sets the captive free. I've got a river of life, flowin' out of me. Spring up O Well, with in my soul. Spring up O Well, and make me whole. Spring up O Well and give to me. That life, abundantly!"
