Ox carts, golden bowls and a voice

Nu 7:1 says that Moses set up the tabernacle. Did he have help or did he do it alone? I know others help build the articles but the actual setting up is what I'm wondering about. Ex 40:18 suggests that it was Moses that did the setting up. Perhaps the first time, he did it and then anointed it and all the furnishings. Ox carts were given as an offering to the Lord. I find this interesting because only the Levite tribes of the Gershonites and Merarites were allowed to use the ox carts where as the Kohathites had to CARRY the holy articles on their shoulders. This helps us understand why God was angry with David when he brought the ark back - he had put it on an ox cart. I might make mention of the golden bowls that were given from each tribe as an offering to God. They were quite small but they were used to hold incense - I believe it was incense from the altar of incense and then it was brought out to be put on the altar of sacrifice and also on the bread which was on the table of shewbread. Incense is a symbol of prayer (Rev 5:8). Christ's sacrifice was a pleasing aroma. Christ is the mediator and he interceedes on our behalf. When Moses entered the Tabernacle this is what Scripture says, "he heard the voice speaking to him from between the two cherubim above the atonement cover on the ark of the Testimony. And he spoke with him" (Nu 7:89). I find this all very fascinating. God's requirements are mysterious, prayer and the sacrifice of Christ is a pleasing aroma to God and Moses spoke directly with God.

Lord, in this day, I choose to obey your commands. I want to do what you require of me. Lord, I desire that my life is a pleasing aroma to you. That the prayers I offer up are true and pure and fragrant. And Lord, may I be attentive to your voice in every minute of this day. To you be the glory.
