Deut 33 & 34, Joshua 1 & 2.
When Moses died he blessed each of the tribes and he laid his hands on Joshua - to impart spiritual wisdom and authority. 4 time in Joshua 1 God instructs Joshua to be strong and courageous. They were about to go into battle and God wanted Joshua to be ready. God promised many times that he would be with them. We cannot be strong and courageous without God's Presence. We must rely on him for our courage and strength to overcome the enemy. Rahab tired a scarlet chord in the window. Was this similar to Passover? Red symbolizing blood.
